Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeshitz was renowned as a towering genius in Torah, Talmud, halachah, homiletics, and Kabbalah. But there was another dimension to his greatness that deserves to stand on its own: he was a master darshan—a preacher who knew how to bring the deepest reaches of Torah into the heart of a listener.

It is one thing to study the brilliance of a great Torah scholar through his legal writings or his analytical Torah. It is another thing to hear his voice addressing a congregation.

In Ya’arot Devash, we come as close as possible to hearing that voice.
